What you'll do:
- Provide level 3Ā support forĀ all Managed Services customers, primarily working with servers and their services.Ā
- Troubleshoot systems and infrastructure for our managed services clients.Ā
- Proactively raise and troubleshoot problems within a customerās infrastructure environment.Ā
- Communicate with clients and stakeholders to understand theirĀ business requirements, translating them to technical outcomes to resolve their problems.Ā
- CollaborateĀ withĀ colleaguesĀ acrossĀ theĀ business to ensure a successful outcome for the customer.Ā
- Stay current withĀ new technologiesĀ and industry trends in the managed services space.Ā
- Develop andĀ maintainĀ documentation for systems and infrastructure.Ā
- Participation in the (paid) on-call rosterĀ andĀ occasional (paid) overtime work.Ā
- Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and growth.Ā
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience as Systems EngineerĀ working with servers and hypervisors. Any Microsoft SQL administration experience isĀ advantageous.Ā
- Effective communication skills when troubleshooting technical issues. You will be able to remain calm and articulate, providing clear explanations of the problem and preventative measures.Ā
- A keen interest in technology andĀ a strong desireĀ to ensure that all technology is functioning optimally. You will be willing to learnĀ new technologyĀ solutions and concepts to confidently liaise with staff and external vendors.Ā
- A positive attitude and can-do mindset, fostered by your provenĀ track recordĀ of helping others resolve technical issues.Ā
- Enjoys a fast-paced environment and is comfortable with change.Ā
- A personality where everyone knows that when you take on a task whetherĀ itāsĀ huge and scary or tiny and boring,Ā youāreĀ going to see it through to the best of your ability.Ā
- Knowledge or certificates in Linux SUSE or similar is highly regarded.Ā
- A strong knowledge of ticketing systems would beĀ advantageous.Ā
- Microsoft and other industry certifications.Ā
- Some of the best Google-fu in town.Ā
