The Data team at Shine

Our Data team is organised into three complementary pillars:Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, and Analytics.

The Analytics pillar is itself organised intothree teams, supporting different parts of the organisation and working closely with Product and Business teams.

You will join the team led by Ludivine, our Data Analytics Manager, and work on a wide range of topics, includingproduct usage and adoption, performance steering, and understanding our customers and their activities.

You will work directly with Product and Business teams across several European markets, turning their challenges into analyses, metrics and decision-making tools that enable better decisions.

Your role as a Senior Data Analyst

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Business Understanding & Problem Framing: work directly with stakeholders to understand their challenges, clarify their needs and translate them into relevant analytical questions.

  • End-to-End Analytics Ownership: own Analytics projects from the initial need through to the presentation of results, including framing, identifying the required data and stakeholders, conducting the analysis, building the deliverable and presenting your conclusions.

  • Analysis & Recommendations: explore and analyse data to identify trends, understand behaviours and usage patterns, investigate discrepancies or unexpected results, and turn analyses into actionable conclusions for Product and Business teams.

  • KPI Definition & Governance: help define, document and maintain reliable, consistent and shared business KPIs and definitions.

  • Dashboards & Decision-Making Tools: design and deliver actionable dashboards inOmni, enabling Product and Business teams to monitor their KPIs, understand their activities and steer performance.

  • Data Modelling: build robust and scalable data models usingSQL and dbt to support recurring and ad hoc analysis and reporting needs.

  • Stakeholder Management: manage relationships directly with Product and Business teams, challenge requests when necessary, and communicate clearly about progress, findings, risks and blockers.

  • Data Collaboration: work closely with other Analysts as well as Analytics Engineering and Data Engineering teams, share knowledge and contribute to building common Analytics practices.

๐Ÿ“Job located in Paris or Berlin with possibility of two remote working days per week.

About you

  • Experience: you have solid experience in Data Analytics and have already owned analytical topics independently. Demonstrated autonomy and ownership matter more than an exact number of years of experience.

  • Technical Excellence: you have excellentSQL skills and solid experience withdbt, including modelling, testing and documentation.

  • Business Intelligence: you have strong experience with BI and Data Visualisation tools. Hands-on experience withOmni will be particularly valued.

  • Analytical & Critical Thinking: you know how to structure a problem, challenge data and definitions, investigate unexpected results and draw relevant conclusions.

  • Business Understanding: you can quickly understand a new business domain, ask the right questions and translate business challenges into analytical approaches.

  • Ownership & Autonomy: you are able to take ownership of a topic end-to-end and move it forward independently, while knowing when to involve the right people.

  • Stakeholder Management: you are comfortable working directly with Product and Business stakeholders, understanding their expectations and constructively challenging their requests.

  • Communication: you can synthesise complex analyses and clearly communicate your conclusions to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Collaboration: you enjoy working as part of a team, sharing knowledge and contributing to collective success.

  • Data Stack: familiarity withSnowflake is a plus. More advanced data platform and infrastructure topics are supported by our Analytics Engineering and Data Engineering teams.

  • Languages: fluent French and the ability to work professionally in English in an international environment.
