About the role

We are now looking for aSenior Cargo Underwriter to join our team in the Stockholm area. In this role, you will work with some of our most complex and international risks and play an important part in developing our Swedish Cargo business.

You will assess client exposures and risk profiles, design tailored insurance solutions and determine pricing and terms. You will negotiate with clients and brokers and use your underwriting expertise to create value for both our clients and If.

You will manage your own portfolio in close collaboration with Account Executives, Risk Engineers, Underwriting Assistants and Claims Adjusters. Your focus will be on Swedish Cargo clients, where you will help us strengthen our market presence, develop existing relationships and actively create new business opportunities.

As a senior member of our Nordic Cargo team, we also expect you to contribute beyond your own portfolio by sharing expertise, supporting colleagues and participating in the continued development of our underwriting practices, products and ways of working.

Our Nordic Cargo team consists of 8 Underwriters and 1 Risk Engineer. As a Nordic organization, we collaborate across borders and exchange insights and learnings every day.

• Multiple years of knowledge and experience from Cargo insurance, global insurance and shared solutions

• Relevant university degree or other formal education

• Fluent communication skills in both Swedish and English, verbally and in writing

• Willingness to work in a fast-paced working environment
