Role Overview

We are looking for a highly experienced,hands-on Software Engineering Tech Lead to provide technical leadership for our Application Engineering team.

This is anIC5 technical leadership role, not a pure people-management position. The ideal candidate is a strong software engineer who remains close to the code and can lead complex features from architecture and technical design through implementation and production.

You will work on data-intensive enterprise applications and integrations across data platforms, BI/analytics ecosystems, metadata, and data lineage. You will provide technical direction to engineers while partnering closely with Product, Support, Delivery, and DevOps.

As a Technical Lead you will:

• Provide hands-on technical leadership across architecture, design, implementation, code reviews, troubleshooting, and production support.
• Lead complex features and technical initiatives end-to-end, from requirements and technical design through implementation and production delivery.
• Define technical approaches, break down complex problems, identify risks, and guide engineers through implementation.
• Make and drive architectural decisions while ensuring scalability, maintainability, performance, and engineering quality.
• Mentor engineers and raise the technical standards of the team through design reviews, code reviews, and technical guidance.
• Design and develop integrations with enterprise data platforms, databases, APIs, and BI/analytics systems.
• Partner with the Engineering Manager and Product team on scope, priorities, technical feasibility, and delivery planning.
• Collaborate with Support, Delivery, and DevOps to troubleshoot complex customer and production issues.
• Remain actively involved in development while providing technical leadership across the team.

We're excited about you if you have:

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including significant experience in senior or technical leadership roles.
• Stronghands-on backend engineering experience with one or more languages such asC#, Java, Python, or Scala.
• Proven experience designing and implementing complex, production-grade software systems.
• Proven experience leading complex features or technical projects from architecture and design through implementation and delivery.
• Strong understanding ofsoftware architecture, APIs, databases, SQL, performance, scalability, and production troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of data pipelines and enterprise data architectures.
• Ability to independently investigate complex technical problems and drive solutions across multiple components.
• Strong code-review, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to influence technical decisions and collaborate across Engineering, Product, Support, Delivery, and DevOps.

You may also have:

• Experience building SaaS or enterprise software products.
• Experience with metadata management, data lineage, data catalogs, or analytics platforms.
• Experience integrating with BI and data technologies such as Power BI, Tableau, Databricks, Snowflake, SQL Server, Oracle, or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, containers, CI/CD, and modern DevOps practices.
• Experience troubleshooting complex production and customer environments.
• Previous experience mentoring senior and mid-level engineers.
