About the roleWorking hours are 9.00 to 18.00 pm over 5 days per week with 1 weekend off per monthÂ
We're looking for a confident and experiencedqualified Dispenser (NVQ2 Pharmacy Services minimum) to lead our busy Care Services operation, supporting a team of 7 dispensers and processing around 4,000 items per week. This is a hands-on role where you'll organise daily priorities, communicate with care homes, motivate and support the team, and ensure the smooth running of a fast-paced service. We're seeking someone with proven leadership experience, excellent organisational skills and the confidence to guide a team while working alongside them. With a supportive Store Manager, great team culture and free on-site parking, this is an excellent opportunity to make a real impact in a well-established care services environment. A driving licence is desirable due to the store's location and limited public transport links.
You must hold an NVQ level 2 certificate.
As a Care Services Partner, your job is to provide a single point of contact for care home customers ensuring excellent customer care is always provided whilst leading the operational running of the care services pharmacy. You will work in partnership with local stakeholders to enable delivery of this outstanding level of service to care services users. You will work onsite and report to the store manager.
Your priorities will include:
- Planning the Care Services workload to ensure that your team provides the very best service possible.
- You will work in partnership with a local network of around 40 care homes, store teams and GP surgeries to deliver outstanding care to enable retention of existing homes and growth of new customers.
- You will resolve queries and issues raised by care homes.
- Supporting with dispensing duties including labelling, priming, preparing MARR sheets, ordering, dispensing, endorsing, checking prescriptions and collecting prescriptions.
- Working with the Regional Business Manager to become an ambassador for Boots within the local community and assist in the sign-up of new business.
- You will work across all parts of the pharmacy in the store, including the healthcare counter
What you’ll need to have
These are the essential skills or experience needed to succeed in this role.
- NVQ2 in Pharmaceutical Science (or equivalent)
- Experience with problem solving in a healthcare environment with a focus on getting it right for your customers.

- NVQ3 in Pharmaceutical Science (or equivalent)
- A full driving licence as you’ll visit the Care Homes you’re supporting.
