Job Description:
The Strategic Sourcing Analyst leads strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier relationship management activities, cost optimization efforts, and contract negotiations across assigned categories. This role partners closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to develop and execute sourcing strategies that improve total cost of ownership, enhance supplier performance, ensure quality and supply continuity, and support broader business objectives.
Serving as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert, the Strategic Sourcing Analyst leverages advanced sourcing, procurement, and category management expertise to identify opportunities, solve complex business challenges, and deliver measurable value. The position requires strong analytical, negotiation, project management, and relationship-building skills, along with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive results in a dynamic environment.
The ideal candidate applies specialized knowledge gained through a combination of education and professional experience to independently manage strategic initiatives and make sound business decisions. While primarily an individual contributor role, the position may provide mentorship, guidance, and informal leadership to team members in a player-coach capacity. The Strategic Sourcing Analyst operates in a professional office environment with a business-casual dress code and collaborates regularly with internal stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and external supplier partners.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead strategic sourcing projects from opportunity identification through implementation.Â
- Conduct market analysis, supplier benchmarking, and spend analysis to identify cost-saving and value-creation opportunities.Â
- Develop and execute category strategies aligned with organizational goals.Â
- Manage competitive bidding processes, including RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs.Â
- Evaluate supplier capabilities, risks, and performance metrics.Â
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, and service-level agreements with suppliers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Finance, Quality, Engineering, and Logistics to ensure sourcing strategies meet business requirements.Â
- Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions as needed to drive continuous improvement.Â
- Support supplier diversity, sustainability, and risk management initiatives.Â
- Maintain sourcing documentation, contracts, supplier records, and savings tracking.Â
- Identify and implement process improvements that enhance procurement efficiency and effectiveness.Â
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement procedures.
Preferred Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Procurement, or a related field.Â
- 3–5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or supplier management.Â
- Experience leading sourcing events and supplier negotiations.Â
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret spend data and market trends.Â
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Access.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.Â
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Interpersonal Skills:
- Ability to work in a regulated environment with minimal supervision. Must have great attention to detail and prioritization skills.
- Ability to interact and work with Administrative, Business Professionals and Management daily.
- Able to make quick decisions and adjust plans under operational pressure. Team player with proven leadership skills.

- Hours: 8:00am - 4:30pm (flex time) will discuss
- Candidate must be located in the same geographic region of position or willing to self-relocate - this position is NOT remote
