Job Summary
BOXABL is seeking an experienced construction professional to serve as our local representative from the firstÂ
site visit through final homeowner handover. You will be our boots on the ground: assess installation access,Â
coordinate site readiness, oversee the general contractor’s work, and keep customers informed and confidentÂ
throughout their project.
Construction experience is required. Modular or factory-built housing experience is a major advantage. StrongÂ
customer service, sound judgment, and consistent follow-through are essential.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Assess the site and installation access
- Meet the homeowner, introduce yourself as their local BOXABL contact, and explain the next steps and project responsibilities.
- Inspect and document delivery access, gate and driveway widths, turning space, slopes, trees, overhead wires, structures, and other obstacles. Check space for unit placement and unfolding where applicable.
- Identify potential crane setup and staging areas. Coordinate with the delivery team, installer, and crane provider to evaluate a feasible installation method, including a non-crane approach when appropriate.
- Submit a site report with measurements, photos, access concerns, utility observations, required corrections, and items needing specialist review before work proceeds.
Coordinate site preparation and installation
- Coordinate the homeowner, general contractor, BOXABL team, delivery provider, and installers around the project schedule, scope, and responsibilities.
- Track foundation preparation, grading, drainage, utility trenching and connections, required permits and inspections, and delivery readiness. Flag missing prerequisites before scheduling the unit installation.
Oversee contractor performance and quality
- Visit active projects and inspect visible work against approved plans, the agreed scope, and installation requirements. Document deficiencies, assign follow-up actions, and verify corrections.
- Monitor milestones, delays, proposed changes, and site conditions. Verify completed work before recommending milestone payments and escalate unapproved costs or unresolved quality concerns.
Customer service and project completion
- Provide regular progress updates, including a weekly homeowner update while work is active. Explain upcoming activities, expected disruptions, and schedule changes clearly.
- Respond promptly to questions and complaints, resolve issues within your authority, and escalate concerns early to BOXABL leadership.
- Coordinate delivery and installation readiness, installation follow-up, final inspections, and outstanding closeout items with the responsible parties.
- Lead the final homeowner walkthrough, create and close the punch list, coordinate key handover and orientation, and confirm the customer understands service and warranty contacts.
- Maintain current photos, visit reports, schedules, customer communications, and issue logs in BOXABL’s project management system.
Qualifications
Experience and Education
Required qualifications
- Demonstrated residential construction experience in field supervision, project management, general contracting, or a comparable hands-on role.
- Working knowledge of site preparation, foundations, utilities, construction sequencing, plan reading, and contractor quality control.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain construction issues clearly and handle difficult conversations professionally.
- Strong organization, practical problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple projects and work independently across an assigned territory.
- Ability to travel regularly to project sites, use mobile reporting tools, and work safely in active construction environments.
Preferred experience
- Modular, factory-built, manufactured housing, or ADU installation experience is strongly preferred.
