Platform Systems Administrator â AWS Cloud (Agile Environment)

The Opportunity:
Join a fastâpaced Agile development program as a key member of our Platform team. In this role, you'll help build, maintain, and evolve critical systems in a modern AWS cloud environmentâensuring high availability, seamless performance, and missionâready reliability every single day. You'll collaborate across application, data, and security teams, gaining exposure to diverse technologies and realâworld problemâsolvingâall while shaping the technical foundation of a large, missionâdriven program.
Responsibilities:
Build and manage AWS infrastructure across multiâaccount, multiâenvironment landing zones.
Install, configure, deploy, and maintain servers, applications, and system services.
Monitor system performance, identify issues, and drive resolutions to maintain uptime.
Ensure security and operational efficiency across all infrastructure layers.
Work within a SAFe Agile delivery model alongside crossâfunctional technical teams.
Support IaaS, IaC, network operations, and firewall configurations.
Perform system upgrades, IAVA patching, and maintain STIG compliance.
Troubleshoot outages and performance concerns while meeting contractual SLAs.
Manage AWS cloud resources and implement bestâpractice cloud governance.
Enforce security controls, backups, access management, and firewall policies.
Create and maintain internal technical documentation, SOPs, and policies.
Contribute to multiâregion disaster recovery, backup strategies, and resilience automation.

Qualifications:
Required:Â
US Citizenship is required and an active Secret Clearance
3+ years of directly related experience.
Bachelorâs degree or equivalent handsâon experience.
Security+ Certification required.
Active Directory and identity federation integration knowledge.
Production Kubernetes / EKS experience and container ecosystem familiarity.
Proficiency with both Windows and Linux operating systems.
Selfâstarter with the ability to work independently.
Ability to interpret, document, and translate technical requirements into solutions.
Handsâon experience with servers, LAN/WAN networking, and patch management in virtualized/cloud environments.
Strong verbal and written communication skills across teams and leadership levels.
Experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role.
Desired:
Experience with STIG compliance and security patching.
Knowledge of AWS cloud services and hosted environments.
Familiarity with server scripting (Shell, Perl, PowerShell) and automation tooling.
Experience with Terraform (modules, state, reusable IaC patterns) and Ansible.
Understanding of observability and logging platforms (Splunk, CloudWatch).

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
