Senior Release and Program Manager

Your Role

We are currently seeking a Senior Release and Program Manager to join our PLM PMO team in PTC office in Pune.

In this role, you will support engineering cross-functional teams to help manage their major release activities and special initiatives throughout the software development lifecycle. You will work directly with integrated scrum teams to coordinate and track program milestones and deliverables, effectively mitigate schedule and scope risks, within agile framework leading releases towards successful outcomes.

You will be part of a PMO team of talented and enthusiastic release and program managers who lead with a servant leader mindset.

You will interact with a multitude of roles across the organization on a day to day basis. You will be the “go to” person for processes associated with planning, monitoring, control, configuration and change management for your initiatives/releases.

Your Impact

This role is critical to ensure timely and efficient release execution per defined plan, as well as effective communication within and across the integrated scrum teams, PMs and TPMs. A big part of the role will be related to supporting the teams through facilitation of the meetings, following up on the actions, providing the data to enable data driven decision making.

Your Team

This role reports into the PLM PMO organization and will be working closely with the R&D and PM leaders both within the PLM organization, as well as other segments.

Your Day-to-Day

·      Work with PM, Engineering & QA teams on delivering projects and releases to meet R&D strategic goals

·      Plan, schedule, and control the build, test, and deployment of releases

·      Enable efficient release process / governance

·      Identify, communicate and manage risks

·      Identify and manage dependencies; coordinate delivery across scrum teams

·      Measure release cadence and effectiveness using common metrics; own release dashboards; establish status reporting for the cross-functional teams

·      Plan and lead release status review meetings with senior management; establish efficient governance to communicate status updates, risks and escalations

·      Lead all change management activities and ensure timely decisions on change requests

·      Collaborate with other program and release managers to define and improve organizational standards for release

Qualification, Preferred Experience and Must-Have skills

·       Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Mathematics, other related fields, or equivalent experience.

·       7-10 years of experience in software development organizations, with minimum of 5 years in a program or project management role. 

·       Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

·       Good understanding and working knowledge of Agile Scrum software product development methodology, good knowledge of Scrum Master responsibilities.

·       Comfort in managing multiple projects with multiple business partners in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment

·       Comfort with utilization of AI

·       Self-starter who can earn trust and can influence and motivate without authority

·       Ability to work independently

·       Proactive in identifying and solving problems, looks beyond the obvious and can find the root of the problem

·       Ability to build and cultivate strong cross-functional relationships

·       Excellent facilitator, able to drive collaboration across the teams

·       High level of organization and attention to detail

·       Data savvy; Able to interpret data and use the knowledge for introducing optimization at different levels

·       Fluent with MS PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Project management tools (Jira/Confluence, Qlik, Smartsheet, MS Project)

·       Experience driving positive change via process improvement
