POSITION OVERVIEW

Through thoughtful leadership, transparent communication, and a commitment to developing talent, you will shape a high-performing culture that drives business success and fosters enduring relationships within the business community. Your ability to inspire, drive change, and lead by example will be essential in advancing BDC’s mission.Â
CHALLENGES TO BE MET
- Set and communicate a clear direction for your team, while aligning with BDC’s long-term business objectivesÂ
- Work closely with your team to meet and exceed overall objectives related to new client acquisition, financing and advisory solutions, client service, portfolio growth, as well as other key metricsÂ
- Recruit, develop, and retain talentÂ
- Foster transparent communication and an environment of opennessÂ
- Connect with local business professionals to develop relationships and obtain referralsÂ
- Contribute to area and regional growth objectives as part of the leadership teamÂ
- Foster the growth and performance of team members through coaching, mentorship, and continuous development initiativesÂ
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor’s degree (Business Administration/Accounting/Finance or relevant field)Â
- 3+ years of front-line sales leadership experience and/or 10–15 years’ progressive experience in financial servicesÂ
- Excellent communication skills, including public speakingÂ
- Recognized for outstanding customer serviceÂ
- Exceptional at prioritizing and managing multiple stakeholdersÂ
- Proven ability to lead high performing teamsÂ
- Professional credentials such as MBA, CPA, CFA, PMP, or CMC (asset)Â

A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle is required.Â
