Position Summary

Our client is seeking aBuyer to manage purchasing, inventory replenishment, and supplier coordination activities to support ongoing operational and production requirements. This role is responsible for ensuring materials are available when needed, maintaining appropriate inventory levels, and working closely with suppliers and internal teams to support efficient business operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented supply chain professional who enjoys balancing inventory management, purchasing strategy, and operational execution. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and proactive in identifying opportunities to improve inventory accuracy, supplier performance, and overall purchasing effectiveness.

What You'll Do

• Process purchase orders and coordinate material procurement to support operational and production needs.
• Monitor inventory levels and replenish materials to maintain appropriate stock while minimizing excess inventory.
• Utilize MRP and ERP systems to analyze demand, forecast requirements, and determine purchasing plans.
• Coordinate with domestic, international, and internal suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Track open purchase orders and proactively address potential supply or delivery issues.
• Review inventory reports and make recommendations to optimize stock levels and inventory investment.
• Expedite critical orders when necessary to support customer and production requirements.
• Verify receipt of purchased materials and ensure accurate inventory transactions within company systems.
• Research and resolve inventory discrepancies, shortages, and material-related issues.
• Coordinate inventory transfers and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Collaborate with warehouse, production, operations, and finance teams to support supply chain objectives.
• Analyze purchasing trends, supplier performance, and inventory data to support decision-making.
• Assist with annual physical inventories and ongoing cycle count initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve purchasing processes, inventory control, and operational efficiency.
• Generate reports and provide updates on purchasing activities, inventory levels, and material availability.
