Responsibilities:
- The core of this role is manual glue mapping: systematically extracting the decision logic, routing rules, escalation patterns, and tribal knowledge currently carried by operators across 28 disconnected systems and translating each human step into one of three classifications — a system event the platform handles automatically, an AI agent decision, or a genuine exception requiring human judgment. This mapping work is time-sensitive and irreversible; once operators are displaced, the knowledge is gone. Getting it right is what makes the automation actually work.
- Beyond mapping, the BA owns requirements elicitation and documentation, Agile backlog management, user story authoring, UAT strategy and full execution, and weekly stakeholder reporting to operations leadership.
Requirements:
- Seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join a large-scale process automation program replacing manual operations across a complex, multi-system enterprise environment.
- 8+ years BA experience on process automation or systems transformation programs
- Demonstrated ability to extract undocumented, operator-held knowledge through interviews and observation — not just reading SOPs
- Experience classifying manual process steps for automation: what becomes a system rule, what becomes an AI decision, what stays human
- UAT ownership (not coordination — you write, execute, and sign off test cases)
- Good knowledge of BMAD to author stories and backlog management
- Comfortable reading API specs and event flow diagrams to spot requirement gaps
- Strong written communication across US/India time zones
- 8+ years BA experience on process automation or systems transformation programs
