Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
• Engage with business stakeholders and product owners to understand business objectives, processes, and pain points.
• Conduct requirements gathering, analysis, validation, and documentation.
• Translate business requirements into clear and actionable functional requirements and user stories.
• Create and maintain:
o Business Requirement Documents (BRD)
o Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS)
o User Stories and Acceptance Criteria
o Process flows and workflows
o Use cases and business process diagrams
• Facilitate stakeholder discussions, workshops, interviews, and requirement walkthroughs.
• Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and optimization.
• Collaborate with solution architects and development teams to ensure requirements are technically understood and feasible.
• Work closely with QA teams to define acceptance criteria and support test-case preparation and validation.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Manage requirement traceability and ensure changes are properly assessed and communicated.
• Identify requirement gaps, dependencies, risks, and potential conflicts.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and coordinate with business users for issue resolution.
• Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare presentations, status updates, and requirement-related documentation for stakeholders.
Required Skills
• 6–8 years of experience as a Business Analyst in software/IT projects.
• Strong experience in requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, and validation.
• Hands-on experience creating BRDs, FRDs/FRS, user stories, use cases, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience working with JIRA, Azure DevOps, Confluence, or similar tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Mandatory and most important).
• Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
• Experience in stakeholder management and conducting requirement workshops.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Ability to understand technical concepts, APIs, databases, integrations, and application workflows.
Technical/Domain Exposure
Candidates with exposure to the following will be preferred:
• Web and enterprise application development
• .NET / Microsoft technology ecosystem
• React / Node.js
• REST APIs and system integrations
• Cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure
• Application modernization and digital transformation projects
The candidate does not necessarily need to be a hands-on developer but should be comfortable understanding technical architecture, application flows, APIs, integrations, and data movement.
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
• Experience working in client-facing roles is preferred.
• Experience working with geographically distributed/global teams is an advantage.
