Teaching Qualification Requirements:
Education:
1.Master educator with an MA (i.e., social studies education, social studies teaching and learning) and/or extensive relevant experience as a school educator/teacher/pedagogueÂ
2.PhD or equivalent in a relevant field is an assetÂ
Experience:
1.Experience as a master k/elementary teacher/instructor with knowledge of:Â
- Quebec’s educational programÂ
- Quebec’s social studies program at the elementary school levelÂ
- The teaching and learning of social studies (history, geography, and citizenship education)Â
- Elementary teaching and learning theory/ methodologiesÂ
- Sound instructional techniquesÂ
Other:
1.Previous successful experience teaching similar course(s) at the undergraduate levelÂ
2.Experience as a master teacher/instructor in the Quebec educational system is an asset Â
3.Knowledge of the impact and proven record integrating pedagogical approaches anchored to equity, diversity and inclusionÂ
4.Familiarity using myCourses, ZOOM and other similar online platforms to facilitate quality teaching and learning experiences Â
5.Familiarity teaching blended classes is an asset Â
6.Familiarity with the application of a variety of digital teaching and learning toolsÂ
