This course is not Team Taught or offered online.
This course is taught in French. A high level of proficiency in French and ability to teach in French are required.

Teaching Qualification Requirements (TQRs):
Education
- MA in a relevant field (i.e. Reading methodologies for elementary school-aged children, science of reading)Â
- PhD or equivalent in a relevant field is an assetÂ
Experience
1.Experience as a master teacher/instructor in reading methods and/or extensive relevant experience as an elementary school educator/pedagogue.
- Theory and practice of teaching reading in the k/elementary classroomsÂ
- Historical and contemporary issues affecting literacy/multi-literacies teachingÂ
- Science of reading: reading process and applications to teaching and learningÂ
- QEP Language Arts curriculum across all cyclesÂ
- Planning, teaching and evaluation of readingÂ
- Theory and practice for struggling readersÂ
2.Experience as a master teacher/instructor in the Quebec educational systemÂ
3.Knowledge of the Quebec Education Program (QEP)Â
4.Familiarity with the professional competencies specified by the Ministère de l’ÉducationÂ
Other
- Previous successful experience teaching similar course(s) at the undergraduate or graduate level Â
- Knowledge of the impact and proven record integrating pedagogical approaches anchored to equity, diversity and inclusionÂ
- Familiarity using myCourses, ZOOM and other similar online platforms to facilitate quality teaching and learning experiences Â
- Familiarity teaching blended classes is an asset Â
- Familiarity with the application of a variety of digital teaching and learning toolsÂ

- Must be available to attend course coordination and planning meeting in advance of course start date
