Wastewater Operator II
This roleis responsible for the operation and maintenance of equipment at small to medium-sized water/wastewater facilities.
Oklahoma C Wastewater License required.
RESPONSIBILITIESÂ
- Operate a variety of equipment and machinery, including valves, pumps, motors, belt presses, disinfection equipment, and vehicles.Â
- Conduct routine testing, monitoring, and maintenance of production wells and water/wastewater facilities.Â
- Perform and document treatment processes and maintenance activities to ensure properoperations. Record daily flow, chemical usage, and related data.Â
- Respond to call outs and after-hours emergencies to repair treatment equipment, pumps, motors, sensing devices, instrumentation, and electrical systems.Â
- Provide customer service functions as needed.Â
- Ensure the security and cleanliness of treatment plant facilities and grounds.Â
- Communicate with clients and customersregarding routine technical aspects of operations as needed.Â
- Coordinate maintenance activities within the treatment facility.Â
- Perform other duties as assigned.Â
Willing to work all shifts, including weekends, holidays, evenings, and 24-hour emergency on-call.

QUALIFICATIONSÂ
Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED and 2 years of water/wastewater experience.Â
Licenses/Certifications: Valid Driver’s License (CDL preferred). Water/Wastewater Operator’s License specific to state and site-specific requirements. Other licenses may vary by site and assignment.Â
Technical: Ability to follow manual and operating instructions. Basicproficiency with Microsoft Office and internet applications. Basic knowledge of water/wastewater operations and working knowledge of electrical components.Â

PHYSICAL DEMANDSÂ
Must be able to:frequently lift 50-60 pounds; load, unload, and move large equipment and tools; access confined spaces; and continuously walk and climb stairs and ladders.Â
