Job Description

We are rooted in our purpose of inspiring and enabling our customers to grow and sustain their prosperity.The role is responsible for leading the Anti-Money Laundry (AML) operational activities within a cluster, including customer due diligence, enhanced due diligence, transaction monitoring, investigations, high-risk customer management, operational reporting, resource management and continuous improvement.
Leadership and Direction | GENERAL | LEADERSHIP AND SUPERVISION
Identify and communicate the actions needed to implement the AML's strategy and business plan within the cluster.
Anti-money Laundry Management | FINANCE AND ACCOUNTING | FRAUD MANAGEMENT
Manage the delivery of AML prevention and monitoring activities across a significant area of operations, spanning all AML operational teams across the Bank — to minimize the risk of financial losses or reputational harm, in line with the organisation's financial crime management policies and procedures.
Anti-money Laundry Investigation | FINANCE AND ACCOUNTING | FRAUD MANAGEMENT
Oversight and investigate very complex or unusual cases and activities relating to AML alerts and referrals. Clarify the scope of the investigation, identify lines of inquiry, and gather and retain information and physical or electronic evidence to support criminal investigation and/or legal action, engaging specialist investigators or authoritative subject-matter experts where necessary. Review the evidence gathered and recommend appropriate action to the organization.
Anti-money Laundry Operational Compliance | QUALITY ASSURANCE | COMPLIANCE/AUDIT
Ensure AML operational activities including onboarding due diligence, periodic and trigger-based customer reviews, and high-risk customer reviews, comply with relevant external regulatory requirements and internal AML policies and procedures, minimizing business risk and protecting the organisation's reputation.
Organizational Risk Management | FINANCE AND ACCOUNTING | RISK MANAGEMENT
Manage a significant portion of the organisation's AML risk management and control processes, contributing to the development and implementation of AML quality assurance frameworks, policies and procedures. This includes overseeing quality sampling programmes, identifying recurring quality concerns and process weaknesses, implementing corrective actions, monitoring control effectiveness, and supporting remediation programmes across AML functions.
Continuous Improvement | GENERAL | INNOVATION
Lead the review existing AML operations across all functional areas and implement innovation processes to identify and deliver continuous improvement outcomes. This includes leveraging automation and technology solutions, optimising workflows, reducing operational risk exposures, supporting system implementations, and embedding industry best practice to enhance customer and employee experience.
Information and Business Advice | GENERAL | ADVICE
Provide authoritative specialist advice to senior managers at the business unit or regional level to enable the implementation of policy, projects, and change initiatives.
