Undergraduate Salary - $51,500, Annually

The City of Baltimore, Department of Human Resources is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity to join ourMunicipal Fellowship Program, a one-year, full-time professional development experience designed for emerging leaders who are passionate about public service and community impact.

About the Fellowship
The Municipal Fellowship Program offers early-career professionals the opportunity to work directly within municipal departments, contribute to high-impact projects, and gain exposure to the operations and priorities that drive local government. Fellows will collaborate with leadership teams, support strategic initiatives, and help deliver meaningful services to residents.

This is apaid, one-year fellowship with a comprehensivebenefits package. Upon successful completion of the program, Fellows may be considered forfull-time employment (FTE) based on performance, organizational needs, and funding availability.

Key Responsibilities

• Support departmental projects and priorities aligned with municipal strategic goals
• Conduct research, data analysis, and policy review
• Assist with program development, implementation, and evaluation
• Prepare clear, concise reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance community-focused initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public administration, public policy, urban planning, business administration, or related fields
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to public service and community engagement
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
