Your Role & Responsibilities
Job Summary:
Account Managersare responsible for managing the overall sales efforts in their assigned territory to maximize sales and profit. They mustutilize frequent face-to-face and/or telephone contact in a consultative sales approach to ensure the satisfaction of customer needs. They mustidentify selling opportunities and assertively act upon the opportunities that offer maximum potential and/or gross profit - both with existing customers through cross- and range-selling as well as with new leads. They must uphold Brenntag’s core values and focus on customer excellence in all regards every day.
Job Description:
Customer Business Developmentforassignedterritory (65%)
Meetsalesobjectives andfocus on customerretentionaswellasimprovingoverall customersatisfaction (alsothrough digitalchannels).
Identify customerpotentials, i.e.,opportunitiesforcross- andrange-sellingtoexistingcustomers andengage relevantstakeholders (e.g., Brenntag Essentialssalesstaff).
Setstrategies andtargetsforgrowthofcustomersinassignedterritory(sales plan);alignwith Sales Manager.
Frequentlyconduct customervisits andpreparethemeetingsusing allavailabletools andreports,coordinate,negotiate andcloseproposals.
Managespotbusiness/rushoffers,get supportfrom Commercial Assistantwhennecessary.
Liaisewith relevantstakeholderstocreate in atimelymannerthe bestsolutionforthe customer andextract maximumvalue (e.g., Sales Management, Industry Marketing Management,Application Development).
Actasmajorpointofcontacttocustomersinassignedterritory in allcommercialmatters.
Conductmarketstudies on potentialnewproductopportunitiesbycontactingcustomerstogatherinterest andtestmarketdemand.
Leverage Brenntag Connecttogenerate andmaximizesales.
New customergeneration (10%)
Spotopportunitiesforlaunchingsalesprojects incooperationwithotherdepartments like Industry Marketing Management,Application Development andsuppliers.
Identify andprioritizeprospectivecustomers.
Get incontactwithprospects andinvolve relevantstakeholderstonurtureleads downthepipeline.
Liaisewith Brenntag Essentialssalesstaff oncustomerswithnew BrenntagSpecialtiesbusinessopportunities.
Sales & General Admin (15%)
Set andmaximizepricesconsideringvalue-based pricing and customersegmentationwithinguidelinesprovidedbyProduct Management/ Industry Marketing Management.
Ensureappropriatedataadministration anddocumentationof allbusinesscases inthelocal CRMsystem (e.g.,postprocessingofvisits,creationof customerprojects).
Update andmaintain customeropportunitypipelines andpotentials inthe CRMsystem
Completesales andrevenue-relatedreporting.
Drivecommercial andfunctional excellencebased onguidance/inputfrom Commercial ExcellenceFunction.
Provideregularforecastsofproductdemandfromcustomersto Industry Marketing Managementtooptimizeprojecteddemandrequirements.
Know-How Management (10%)
Maintain anup-to-datelevelofproduct,technical, andapplicationknowledge, e.g., viatraining.
Keepupto datewithchanges andupdates intheproduct/solutionportfolio and inthemarket.

Education & Experience
Preferably Post-Secondary Education with a focus in Business, Science or equivalent.
Experience in the chemical distribution business, preferably in a sales capacity (3 to 5 years previous experience in sales role).
Product,technical andmarketknowledgeofrespective Industry/Application.
