About the Role
Exciting opportunities exist for passionate, caring and qualified Health Assistants (Nursing) to join our dynamic team at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne. You will work in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary ward team, under the direction and supervision of the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) or equivalent, and will make a positive contribution to patient care through assistance and support to our Registered and Enrolled Nurses.
You will also:
Contribute to positive patient outcomes by ensuring all elements of supervised or delegated work is completed accurately and in accordance with St Vincent's policies and procedures
Participate in delegated aspects of patient care, including but not limited to assistance with: personal hygiene, nutritional needs, mobility, transfers and positioning within theward, elimination needs
Ensure patient privacy and dignity is maintained at all times
Classifications for this position will range betweenIN37 - IN39($59,282.60 - $68,384.16 per annum, pro rata). Â
Your Contribution
As a qualified Health Assistant (Nursing), you will bring strong interpersonal skills and an ability to effectively communicate with staff, patients and families to the role. You will be a reliable team player, who enjoys working within a multidisciplinary team and is available to work a minimum of one shift per 3 calendar months.
You will also have:
Certificate III Health Assistant (Nursing) or second year undergraduate nursing student (Bachelor/Masters of Nursing) equivalent
Current National Criminal History check, or willing to obtain
Current National Disability Insurance Scheme check, or willing to obtain
