We are seeking aSenior Software Engineer – Application Software. This role focuses on the design, implementation, and integration of application-layer software for secure vehicle access systems.
The candidate will work closely with global teams, suppliers, and customers to deliver high-quality software solutions, ensuring robust performance, security, and seamless system integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze system and software requirements and translate them into high-quality application software solutions.
- Design, develop, and maintainApplication Software (ASW) components in embedded C.
- Lead integration of application features within the overall system architecture (including interaction with BSW and hardware layers).
- Perform debugging, root cause analysis, and resolution of complex software defects.
- Develop and execute test cases for functional validation and system-level verification.
- Participate in and lead technical reviews (requirements, design, code, and testing).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (system, hardware, validation) to ensure end-to-end feature performance.
- Interface with customers and suppliers to clarify requirements, track issues, and drive resolution.
- Support software release activities, including build, integration, and defect triage.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
Required Qualifications
- 10 year experience
- Strong experience inembedded software development using C, including software integration.
- Proven experience inrequirement analysis, with the ability to translate requirements into robust software solutions.
- Ability toclarify requirements and drive technical alignment with local and global cross-functional teams.
- Experience intest case design and execution for functional and system-level validation.
- Strongdebugging and root cause analysis skills in embedded systems.
- Experience ensuringoverall system performance, including interaction between application software and lower layers.
- Experience working withthird-party suppliers, including issue tracking and driving timely resolution.
- Strongproblem-solving skills with a proactive and analytical mindset.
- Experience incustomer-facing roles, with the ability to communicate effectively influent English (written and verbal).
- Solid understanding of thesoftware development lifecycle (V-model) in automotive environments.
- Experience working with OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience invehicle access systems, keyless entry, orPerfectly Keyless (PK) technologies.
- Knowledge ofRF communication technologies, includingBLE, UWB, and NFC.
- Experience with AUTOSAR environments (interaction between ASW and BSW layers).
- Hands-on experience with tools such asVector CANoe, andiSYSTEM winIDEA.
- Knowledge ofcybersecurity concepts in automotive systems (secure communication, authentication).
- Familiarity withISO 26262 and/orASPICE processes
