About the RoleĀ 

We are seeking a technically strong and self-drivenFunctional Safety EngineerĀ to develop, calibrate, validate, and optimize Safety functions forDiesel , Gasoline & EV powertrain systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, functional specifications, and customer expectations. The role includes software function calibration, HIL/LabCar validation, engine and vehicle testing, data analysis, and technical issue resolution.Ā 

You will work closely with OEM customers, independently own assigned projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, drive technical discussions, resolve engineering challenges, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality diagnostic solutions. Strong analytical skills, customer focus, and a commitment to quality and continuous improvement are essential for success in this role.Ā

Key ResponsibilitiesĀ 

  • Handling and tracking calibration requirements.Ā 

  • Coordinates calibration requirements between customer project, calibration project , Function teamĀ 

  • Analysis of validation and customer complaints across different region projects.Ā 

  • Creation and delivery to internal customers for validation and series versionsĀ 

  • Offline calibration of the Monitoring software using Matlab/Simulink and internal Bosch tools        

  • Preparation of the test cases for the meeting the ISO safety standardsĀ 

  • Verification of the calibration by testing and validationĀ 

  • Data review for the variant projects with different regionsĀ 

  • Supporting regions in execution and documentation of the vehicle tests.Ā 

  • Creation of the deliverable’s version and its documentationĀ 

  • Handling the queries from the region projects related to Monitoring software calibrationĀ Ā 

  • Active participation for the design review for functionality development in Monitoring softwareĀ 

  • Advises the function developer on questions regarding monitoring related softwareĀ 

  • Supports the CAL project manager for planning the resourcesĀ 

  • Provides support in the quotation in defining the efforts required for calibration.Ā 

Ā 

What We’re Looking ForĀ 

  • B.E, M.Tech (Mechanical, Automobile, E&C, EEE).Ā 

  • 5 to 8 years of relevant work experience.Ā 

  • Experienced in technically leading / working on calibration development projectsĀ 

  • Experience in calibrating torque-based control systems (gasoline and diesel) including emissions and climate developmentĀ 

  • Excellent knowledge of powertrain systems and sub-systemsĀ 

  • Good knowledge of developing engine management systems and testing techniquesĀ 

  • Ability to use model-based calibration tools e.g. Inca, Uniplot, Cameo, ASCMO, AVL Puma, etc.Ā 

  • Experienced user of analytical software tools to handle large volumes of data.Ā 

  • Ability to understand, interpret and evaluate numerical dataĀ 

  • Knowledge of Modelling and Simulation techniquesĀ 

  • Knowledge of coding/programming languagesĀ 

  • Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) systemsĀ 

  • Sound understanding of engine combustion processes and emissions formulationĀ 

  • Knowledge and experience INCA and ETAS tools.Ā 

  • Skilled in statistical testing techniques i.e. Design of Experiments (DoE)Ā 

  • Complete work in a safe, timely and professional manner with the minimum of supervision Flexibility to undertake additional task to meet business requirementsĀ 

  • Highly motivated, keen to learn and share knowledge. High attention to detailĀ 

  • Excellent communication skills.Ā 

  • Flexibility to travel as and when required.Ā

  • Calibration knowledge like Engine performance, drivability, vehicle performanceĀ Ā 

evaluation, Emission & OBDĀ 

  • Ā Knowledge on control systems preferableĀ 

  • Ā Knowledge on Sensors / MotronicsĀ
