A LITTLE BIT ABOUT Boldr
- Boldr is the first global B-Corp dedicated to delivering world-class Client experiences while creating access to dignified, meaningful work in communities around the world.
- We are a global team, united by our desire to connect diverse people with common values for boldr impact.Â
- We employ just over a thousand team members across five countries and we want to employ over 5,000 people by 2027, if not sooner.
LET’S START WITH OUR VALUES
- Meaningful connections start with AUTHENTICITY
- We do our best work by being CURIOUS
- We grow by remaining DYNAMIC
- Our success combines AMBITIOUS VISION with OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCEÂ
- At the heart of great partnerships, we’ll always find EMPATHY
WHAT IS YOUR ROLE
As Director, Global Employment, you own and grow Boldr's Global Employment (GE) business, our Employer of Record (EoR) and global hiring services, as a focused, repeatable, and profitable line of business. You are the strategic and operational owner of the offering, the Clients, the team, and the P&L.
You lead our three service offerings: EoR Only, Contractor Conversions, and Full Global Employment, focusing on our defined Zones of Excellence. Â You collaborate closely with our Product & Strategy team to explore expanding our services ensuring we can effectively productize and deliver any solution before going to market.
You lead the GE team and work closely with our Client Success team to help our Clients achieve their strategic and financial goals. You work as a cross-functional leader and effective collaborator across the business, partnering with Talent Acquisition (recruitment), People Business Partners (HR compliance, payroll, and HR-ops infrastructure), CX Strategy & Solutions (product strategy and Client Success), Sales and Marketing (positioning), and Finance (commercial discipline). You engage directly with Client executives, not just to deliver, but to advise as they scale their global teams and search for talent to support their success.
WHY DO WE WANT YOU
We are currently looking for impact-driven individuals who are passionate in helping Boldr grow and achieve our Purpose. We expect our Team to become our ultimate partners to success by always giving their 110% in everything, sharing their talents and quirks, and championing our core values: Curious, Dynamic and Authentic.
WHAT WILL YOU DO
Execute GE strategy and offering
- Effectively execute Boldr’s three solutions under your business unit: Employer of Record (EoR); Contractor Conversions; and Global Employment limited to our defined Zones of Excellence.
- Partner with CX Strategy & Solutions to further develop our GE strategy and product offering, ensuring our GTM motion (incl. positioning and pricing) is complete before offering further products and roles, maintaining focus on our defined Zones of Excellence.Â
- Maintain disciplined positioning relative to CX Solutions / Managed Outsourcing, and continuously refine where we win, where we partner, and where we say no.
- Own our External Hiring + EoR (RPO partner) motion, partner selection, governance, referral economics, and the operating handoffs that protect TA capacity while keeping EoR revenue flowing.
Lead Clients as a strategic partner
- Build trust-based, advisory relationships with Client executives — engaging credibly at C-level, CRO, CFO, and Head of People, in order to shape how they scale their distributed workforces.
- Advise on hiring locations, compensation, talent availability, contractor misclassification risk, and EoR provider transitions. Translate operational delivery into commercial outcomes that Client executives recognize.
- Own the success and retention of our GE Client portfolio. Be the visible senior escalation point and ensure Boldr is meeting, or proactively renegotiating the commitments in our MSAs and SLAs.
- Identify and pursue expansion opportunities through Contractor Conversions, EoR transfers, and Client-direct hires.
Drive cross-functional execution
- Partner with Talent Acquisition on ZoE feasibility, candidate quality, and recruitment delivery within scope.
- Partner closely with the VP of People, who owns compliance, payroll, HR operations, and employment-law infrastructure. Drive the collaboration that ensures GE delivers compliantly, without owning that scaffolding yourself. Lobby actively for the support you require.
- Partner with the Snr Director, CX Strategy & Solutions on service strategy, positioning, and Client Success integration.
- Partner with Sales and Marketing on positioning and competitive narrative against platform-only providers .
- Partner with Finance and RevOps on P&L management and margin discipline, and on Client invoicing.
- Partner with BizOps Office Ops to ensure accurate forecasting is provided for required devices (such as laptops) and such devices are available on time as required by Team Members.
Lead the GE team
- Lead and develop your GE team by setting direction to a compelling vision, holding accountability to role expectations and OKR achievements, and building operating cadence, while pairing data-driven rigor with a culture where performance and empathy coexist.
- Develop leaders from within. Identify stretch opportunities, build bench depth, and ensure capability does not concentrate on any single person, including yourself. Coordinate necessary training and best practices related to Boldr’s Tools and Processes.
- Lead through change. Boldr's GE business will continue to evolve in scope, pricing, and positioning, and your team will look to you for clarity and steadiness through that evolution. Lead through change with clarity and steadiness, supporting the successful implementation of company-wide policies, procedures, and tools.
- Promote and foster a culture of continuous improvement by providing positive and constructive feedback to Team Members
Own commercial and operating performance
- Carry P&L accountability for the GE book of business. Make commercial trade-offs to protect margin and model integrity, including walking from revenue that doesn't fit.
- Operationalize playbooks across delivery and expansion so the model scales without requiring heroic effort.
- Deliver against measurable outcomes: predictable win rates within Zones of Excellence, time-to-fill inside stated ranges, healthy gross margin on Full GE, and NDR above 100% on EoR-anchored accounts.
- Oversee CRM hygiene and invoicing compliance, ensuring the team maintains accurate Hubspot records, timely invoicing, and prompt resolution of billing discrepancies and accounts receivable.
