Contract Rate: $35.00 - 45.00per hr.
Contract Duration: Up to 3 Years

We are seeking a Biostatistician to support the preparation, quality assurance, and interpretation of research datasets. This role will help ensure that data is statistically sound, well-defined, and ready for researchers conducting analyses and publishing findings.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare research-ready datasets for investigators and study teams.
• Perform statistical and data-quality review of source, derived, and computed variables.
• Validate variable definitions, calculations, and data outputs.
• Provide guidance on statistically relevant measures used in study design and epidemiologic research.
• Support the interpretation of concepts such as observation periods, years at risk, and derived study variables.
• Collaborate with data engineering and research stakeholders to clarify dataset requirements.
• Assist in documenting analytical assumptions, variable definitions, and quality-control findings.
• Support data preparation and QC rather than serving as the primary analyst for every study team.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 4 years of directly related experience, or Master's degree plus 2 years of directly related experience.
• Experience with SAS, R, Stata, or comparable statistical programming tools.
• Experience applying statistical methods and frameworks to data-quality review.
• Understanding of epidemiologic study design and relevant analytical variables.
• Experience preparing, reviewing, or validating research datasets.
• Strong analytical judgment and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate statistical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Python experience.
• Healthcare, public-health, clinical, or research-data experience.
• Experience with derived variables, observational data, and longitudinal datasets.
• Familiarity with AI-ready datasets, synthetic data, or vector-embedding concepts.
