POSITION OVERVIEW |
The Bilingual Family Resources Assistant supports family engagement and access to community resources for students and families connected to Mark Twain Elementary School. This position serves as a bilingual liaison among families, school staff, Sunbeam team members, and community partners. Responsibilities include providing Spanish/English communication support, assisting with outreach and family engagement activities, connecting families to resources, and maintaining welcoming spaces where parents and caregivers can access information and support. All employees and volunteers are expected to demonstrate Sunbeam Family Services' core values and maintain sensitivity to the cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic characteristics of the children and families we serve. Services should be provided in a culturally responsive, strengths-based, relationship-focused, and trauma-informed manner. |

Work Environment The employee works primarily within Mark Twain Elementary School and related community engagement environments. Noise levels may range from moderate to loud depending on activities and location. The employee may work in close proximity to school-aged children and families and may occasionally be exposed to illnesses and other conditions commonly present in educational settings.
