Role Overview

We are seeking aQuality Engineering (QE) Manager to lead a newly established QE team in India supporting Disney’s Enterprise Technology & Delivery platforms, includingWorkday andSAP applications. This role will be responsible for managing a team of QE Automation Engineers while driving high-quality delivery across multiple sustainment initiatives.

The QE Manager will play a critical role inadvancing modern quality engineering practices, including shift-left testing, automation, and AI-enabled testing capabilities. This leader will collaborate closely with global QE, Product, Engineering, Architecture, and Release Management teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

1. Team Leadership & Delivery Management

• Lead and manage a team of 11 QE engineers, ensuring high performance, engagement, and professional growth
• Overseeday-to-day testing activities, including functional, integration, and regression testing
• Provide direction ontest planning, execution, and defect management
• Mentor and guide team members on modern QE practices, including automation and shift-left strategies
• Coordinate with US leaders to ensure alignment on priorities and sealess

2. Quality Engineering Execution

• Driveend-to-end quality validation for commerce applications across projects and sustainment work
• Ensure appropriatetest coverage, automation strategy, and risk-based testing approaches
• Partner with development teams to supportcomponent and integration testing during sprints
• Overseedefect triage, root cause analysis, and resolution tracking

3. Operational Excellence & Service Delivery

• Oversee day-to-dayQE service delivery, ensuring alignment with program timelines and release goals
• Supportintake, estimation, and test planning processes
• Ensure adherence toquality standards, processes, and compliance requirements
• Supportaudit activities and reporting needs related to quality and testing

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborating withProduct, Engineering, Architecture, Release Management, and Business teams to align on testing scope, risks, and priorities
• Partner with global QE teams (CQE, GQE, and others) to ensureconsistent testing practices and standards
• Participate inPI Planning and program-level forums, ensuring QE alignment and readiness

5. Environment, Access & Enablement Support

• Ensure team readiness by supportingonboarding of new engineers, including access, tools, and training
• Help managetest environments, test data readiness, and access requirements
• Coordinate with relevant teams to resolveenvironment and tooling issues impacting testing

6. Tools, Automation & Innovation

• Drive adoption oftest automation frameworks and tools to improve efficiency and reduce cycle time
• Support implementation ofAI-enabled QE capabilities, including test generation, coverage analysis, and reporting
• Identify opportunities tooptimize testing processes and improve productivity

7. Governance & Asset Management

• Ensure compliance withorganizational processes, security standards, and audit requirements
• Support tracking and management oftesting tools, licenses, and related assets
• Maintain visibility intoteam utilization, deliverables, and performance metrics

Basic Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience inQuality Engineering / Software Testing, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership role
• Strong experience infunctional, integration, and regression testing
• Experience managingdistributed or offshore teams
• Familiarity withAgile/Scrum methodologies
• Strong understanding oftest automation frameworks and tools
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience withWorkday and SAP
• Exposure toCI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Experience withAI/Agentic AI applications in testing
• Familiarity withperformance, security, or accessibility testing
• Experience working in aglobal delivery model
• Experience testing enterprise business platforms such asWorkday and SAP

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
