As an Oncology Nurse Educatorsupportingassignedportfolio in theTEXAS territory, you will play a pivotal role in channeling our scientific capabilities to make a positive impact on changing patients' livesthrough the provision ofnurse education.Â
AstraZeneca’s vision in Oncology is to help patients by redefining the cancer-treatment paradigm, with the aim of bringing abroad pipeline of next-generation medicines focused principally on six tumor areas - breast, ovarian, lung, gynecology, genitourinary, gastrointestinal, and hematologicalcancers. As well as other tumor types, these are being targeted through five key platforms - immunotherapy, the genetic drivers of cancer and resistance, DNA damage repair, and antibody drug conjugates underpinned by personalized healthcare and biomarker technologies.Â
Reporting to the WEST Nurse Educator Director, the Oncology Nurse Educator will implement Nurse Education strategies and provide education to community and academic institutions, hospitals, health careproviders and pharmacies byutilizing their professionalexpertise and clinical training.Â

Essential :
Bachelor’s degreeÂ
4+ years Oncology nursing experienceÂ
Active RN license in territoryÂ
80% TravelÂ
Residence within 1 hour of major airport
Desirable:
Experience as ClinicalNurseEducatororclinical professionalin pharmaceutical industry
Master’s degree in nursing or a related healthcare fieldÂ
Oncology nursing certification from a recognized professional nursing organization (e.g., OCN® or equivalent) preferred.Â
Skills and ExperienceÂ
Adverse events & patient management expertiseÂ
Effective educational presenter and discussion facilitator of Registered Nurses, Pharmacy Staff and Advanced Practitioners on all aspects of disease state and product information as it relates to patient care strategies and adverse event management.Â
Strong commitment to ethical business conductÂ
Demonstrates an attitude focused on prioritizing customers' educational needs in relation to patient and adverse event management strategies.Â
Applies knowledge and understanding of customer educational needs and priorities.Â
Engages customers by aligning approach based on customer interests and AZ strategy and goals.Â
