The Faculty ofEngineering, Dean’s Office is seekinga Student Research Assistant toassist theIntegrating AI to Reshape Engineering Pedagogyproject (funded through Entente Canada-Quebec). 

Primary Responsibilities  

• Conduct a comprehensive literature review and environmental scans on best practices for integrating AI content into undergraduate engineering programs. 

• With the Research project team, review McGill engineering programs andidentify where AI literacy and applied AI knowledge and skills should be embedded. 

• Work with instructors to create AI modules and projects for engineering courses. 

• With the project team, support the development of learning outcomes, a course plan, and draft instructional content for a Fundamental AI in Engineering course. 

• Contribute to the development of conference presentations and academic articles.  

• Participate in an AI in engineering education working group. 

• Attend weekly 30-minute team meetings. 
   

Job Requirements/Minimum Education/ Experience 

• Possesses subject matterexpertiseacquired throughundergraduate studies in various Engineering programs at McGill. 

• Active McGill student in various Engineering programs at McGill. 

Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities 

Students applying shouldindicate knowledge/experience in any of the following areas: 

• Engineering education 

• Applied artificial intelligence or generative AI 

• Organization and time management skills 

• Effective communication skills 

• Ability to interact with instructors 

• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools 

• Familiarity with web conferencing technology (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Zoom)
