Position Overview

Waste Connections is seekingsafety‑focused Residential Rear‑Load Garbage Truck Drivers who take pride in hard work, teamwork, and career growth. This is adriver‑to‑driver position that requiresboth driving and riding on the back of the truck while servicing residential neighborhoods.

Safety is our #1 value. Candidates must be comfortable working in active residential areas, performing physical labor, and following strict safety procedures throughout the route.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate aresidential rear‑load garbage truck on assigned routes

• Ride on the back of the truck between stops while servicing residential areas

• Repeatedly climb on and off the truck throughout the shift

• Lift, pull, and empty residential trash containers

• Performheavy physical labor for the duration of the route

• Safely and courteously interact with customers in residential neighborhoods

• Follow all company safety policies, traffic laws, and route procedures

• Work outdoors in all weather conditions

• Assist driving partner to complete routes safely and efficiently

Job Requirements

• ✅Valid CDL required

• ✅ Minimum2 years of work experience, with a stable work history

• ✅ Ability tolift 50+ pounds repeatedly throughout the day

• ✅Able and willing to ride on the back of the truck during residential collections

• ✅ Comfortable withfrequent climbing on and off the truck

• ✅ Willing to work outdoors in heat, cold, rain, and other conditions

• ✅ Able to work long shifts (50–60 hours per week)

• ✅Residential Rear‑Load or Front‑Load driving experience is a PLUS
