Your Role

To manufacture defect-free photomasks for the latest-generation semiconductor lithography, we develop optical metrology solutions. The mechanical dynamics of these systems play a key role in achieving the highest levels of measurement accuracy.

• As a key point of contact, you will develop, evaluate, and document mechatronic system concepts for photomask metrology equipment, with a focus on system dynamics and control engineering.
• You will perform modeling, simulation, and analysis of highly complex mechatronic systems and independently develop and evaluate control algorithms for the fast and highly precise positioning of precision mechanical components.
• Based on your results, you will derive specifications and budgets for components.
• You will ensure the realization and testing of prototypes and evaluate the results.
• You will be part of an interdisciplinary team and work closely with internal and external customers as well as development partners throughout the development process.

Your Profile

• You have an excellent university degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, electrical engineering, control engineering, or a comparable field.
• You have solid professional experience in the development of complex mechatronic systems, ideally within the semiconductor industry.
• You have strong technical leadership skills, with experience in decision-making, delegation, stakeholder management, and developing and mentoring team members.
• You have extensive expertise in system analysis in both the frequency and time domains, as well as in the dynamic analysis of mechanical systems, including multibody dynamics (MBD), finite element analysis (FEA), structural dynamics, and modeling techniques. You also have experience in validating dynamic models and excellent MATLAB skills.
• Ideally, you have knowledge of related disciplines such as actuator and sensor technology, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, technical optics, and systems engineering.
• You work independently and systematically and have excellent organizational and communication skills, combined with a strong ability to assert yourself and drive topics forward.
• You enjoy working as part of an interdisciplinary team in a highly dynamic environment and demonstrate a high level of commitment and drive.
• You have excellent written and spoken English skills; good German skills are an advantage.
