Axual is looking for anAccount Executive for the Public market in the Netherlands to accelerate our growth by building deep client relationships and driving strategic enterprise sales in the world of real-time event streaming.

Axual is a fast-growing scale-up specializing in real-time event stream processing. Our mission: help large organizations unlock the full potential of their data by enabling them to react instantly to customer needs.We provide secure, scalable, high-performance data streaming solutions based on Apache Kafka.

Our clients includeRabobank, PostNL, the Norwegian Government, Stedin, and Eneco.We’re now looking for a commercially driven  Account Executive to strengthen and expand these key relationships specifically in the (semi) governmental and public market.

Your Role at Axual

AsAccount Executive for the Public Market, you will:

 ✅ Manage and grow a portfolio of public or governmental clients in the Netherlands.
✅ Build trusted relationships with a wide range of stakeholders,both technical and business decision-makers.
✅ Lead thefull sales cycle: from opportunity discovery to contract negotiation and closing.
✅Understand the customer’s side of the table:how decision-making units (DMUs) work, and how to approach each stakeholder with a tailored message.
✅ Act as a trusted advisor with strong domain knowledge and the ability to speak the language of bothengineers and executives.
✅ Collaborate closely withmarketing and demand generation to maintain a healthy pipeline.
✅ Identifyupsell and renewal opportunities in mission-critical environments.
✅ Stay up to date with industry trends and translate them into valuable insights for your clients.

Who You Are

🔹You have anup-to-date and relevant network within the Dutch (semi-)governmentand public sector, at both technical and organizational levels.
🔹 You bring5+ years of sales and account management experience, ideally with a technical product (e.g. integration, API management or data streaming).
🔹 You’ve sold totechnical buyers and understand the nuances of enterprise ITlandscapes.
🔹 You have proven experience with government tenders and public procurement procedures.
🔹 Preferably, you’ve soldSaaS products.
🔹 You know how to operate withinlarge, complex organizations and speak to multiple stakeholders with confidence.
🔹 You understandmission-critical customer environments.
🔹 You’re recognized as asenior-level sales professional – a trusted partner, not just a vendor.
🔹 Aself-starter with a“hunter” mentality, driven by results and always on the lookout for the next opportunity.
🔹 Fluent inDutch and English.
🔹 Importantly: this isnot a Head of Sales or C-level role. We're looking for a hands-on closer who thrives on deal-making, not managing sales teams.
