The Role
The Vice President of Sales – Retiree Health Solutions is a sales leader who is highly motivated to build and lead a high performing team of Sales Executives focused on developing value-based singular or multi-product Alight Solutions to drive acquisition of new business and revenue expansion within our existing client base.
The Vice President of Sales is an inspirational sales leader focused on sales executive development, an expert in singular and multi-product Alight solutions, exhibits exceptional forecasting accuracy, and has strong business acumen to deliver revenue goals through new client acquisition and revenue expansion of existing accounts. They must be able to effectively lead the team through the sales process: from the creation of a sales strategy, and executing the pursuit of new client acquisition and existing expansion opportunities. This sales leader must have a proven record to help other sales executives close new logo business and existing opportunities, and may be assigned to designated accounts.Â
ResponsibilitiesÂ
Domain expertiseÂ
The Sales Leader ideally has a background in either Benefits Administration and will become a generalist in the entire Alight portfolioÂ
Sales processÂ
Achieves and drives attainment towards annual Alight core solutions revenue goals across new and existing client base
Drives revenue by developing and executing sales strategy for new logo acquisition, expansion of solutions across existing client base, monitors core solutions sales pursuits process, and generates revenue through closing core solutions deals Â
Builds and maintains the overall Core Solutions commercial strategy and develops Alight narrative to communicate and execute sales strategy to potential new logo clientsÂ
Monitors the overall pipeline for new business sales and existing account expansion within territories and target account listings
Coordinates with Marketing and Lead generation functions to ensure and maintain adequate pipeline and allocation of leads to Core Solutions teamÂ
Develops and generates demand for Alight Solution offerings and new business opportunities Â
Creates and executes account mapping, new business strategic plan, and existing client growth and retention strategic plan for entire Core Solutions sales organization
Internally works with Delivery Team, Sales, and other organizations to ensure adequate new and existing account pursuit support and servicing, and review new and existing client sales deployment strategiesÂ
Leverages strategic client relationships to uncover new solutions expansion opportunities and drive new logo client acquisition Â
Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts and reports to inform upper management’s strategic decision-makingÂ
Team LeadershipÂ
Identifies, creates, and develops key success measures and key performance indicators (KPIs) for Core Solutions  team and manages team to planÂ
Acts as a mentor, coach, and oversees the career development of Core Solutions team members to Alight-authored career milestones and performance plansÂ
Encourages, inspires, motivates, and leads Core Solutions team to accomplish team revenue goals through proactive communication, and positive reinforcementÂ
Responsible for identifying and recruiting high performing talent to the Core Solutions teamÂ
QualificationsÂ
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Knowledge and ExperienceÂ
15+ years professional sales management experience and Consumer Experience/Benefits firm experience requiredÂ
Ability to inspire the team and excite the organization to rally behind the strategyÂ
Demonstrated leadership experience leading a high performing sales teamÂ
Maintains strong content knowledge across entire Alight portfolio
Proven forecasting accuracy Â
Excels in the areas of sales methodology, forecasting accuracy, process and sales leadershipÂ
Exceptional presentation skills at the C-Suite levelÂ
Demonstrates a good overall grasp of all business areas including Business and Product Strategy, Sales and GTM, Pricing, Financials, HR and LegalÂ
Travel Expectation 10 – 25% of the time (sometimes on short notice) to support meetings with clientsÂ

Salary Pay Range
Minimum :
