About DX
DX helps engineering leaders build high-performing, productive teams. We collect millions of data points daily, powering insights into developer productivity and experience at companies like Pinterest, GitHub, BNY, Xero, and many more. DX recently joined Atlassian, expanding our resources and accelerating our mission to help every engineering organization measure and maximize their impact, including the impact of AI.
Our marquee conferences—DX Annual and DX Annual Europe—bring together hundreds of engineering leaders for research-driven talks, peer learning, and actionable takeaways. We're looking for someone to own the content program that makes these events world-class.
The role
As Event Content Manager, you will own the end-to-end content lifecycle for DX's marquee conferences. You'll report into the Events team. You’ll also work closely with the Research team, who serves as the editorial and strategic director for the content program—setting themes, selecting topics, and shaping the overall narrative. Your job is to operationalize that vision: running the call for speakers, managing speaker logistics end-to-end, keeping production on track, and ensuring a world-class experience for every speaker who touches our stage.
This is a hands-on execution role. You'll be selecting, reaching out to, and coordinating with speakers. You’ll also be managing timelines, coordinating prep and rehearsals, providing feedback on talks, and serving as the primary point of contact for speakers from first outreach through post-event follow-up.
Why this role matters:
DX Annual is not a product launch event—it's a peer-learning experience where engineering leaders walk away with promotable ideas and actionable frameworks. The Event Content Manager is the person who makes that happen: curating the right voices, shaping the right stories, and ensuring every speaker delivers their best work. You'll have a direct line to our Research team's proprietary data and insights, and you'll help translate that into programming that attendees call "the best conference I've been to."
What we’re looking for
Required:
3–5 years of experience in event content operations, event production, or conference program management
Strong project management skills — you can manage dozens of speakers, parallel timelines, and cross-functional dependencies without dropping balls
Experience running a Call for Speakers / Call for Papers program (intake, reviews, scheduling, communications)
Comfortable creating cue sheets, VOG scripts, and MC scripts
Excellent written communication — you'll be the voice speakers hear from first outreach through post-event
Proficiency with content/session management tools
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a deadline-driven environment
Ability to travel onsite to events, with some weekend travel required
Desired:
Experience in the technology/SaaS sector
Experience managing content operations for events of 200–1,000 attendees
Comfort interfacing with senior external speakers (VP+ level) on logistics and scheduling
Experience coordinating deck reviews, design cleanup, and production handoffs
