ASSISTANT VOLLEYBALL COACH - SEASONAL PART-TIME- BEGINNING JANUARY 2027

POSITION SUMMARY

De La Salle is seeking a Volleyball Assistant Coach to join our Athletics team. We are looking for a passionate, knowledgeable Coach with a strong understanding of development and a commitment to helping student-athletes reach their full potential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Volleyball Assistant Coach plays a vital role in implementing the program's goals and objectives through positive coaching both on and off the course. This position is responsible for teaching athletes the fundamental concepts of the sport while also introducing more advanced techniques. Coaches must create and maintain a safe and supportive environment for their athletes, both physically and emotionally.

Additionally, the Coach is tasked with fostering character development in student-athletes and guiding them toward achieving a high level of skill, as well as instilling values of discipline, sportsmanship, and teamwork in volleyball. This individual is expected to interact respectfully and thoughtfully with student-athletes, fellow coaches, staff, parents, and the community, all in line with the school's mission.

Qualifications & Salary

QUALIFICATIONS

• At least two years of coaching experience with youth athletes.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of sports rules and regulations.
• Skilled in everyday office technology, including email, virtual meeting platforms, and cloud-based document sharing for team management and administrative tasks.
• Physical ability to demonstrate drills and exercises.

All coaches are required to get fingerprint clearance from the DOJ, as well as TB clearance before starting coaching. They have 30 days to complete all required certifications, including, but not limited to, CPR/First Aid certification, CIF - Fundamentals of Coaching Certification, Concussion Training, Mandated Reporter Training, and Anti-Harassment Training.

SALARY RANGE

• Seasonal- Part-Time
• Pay: $1,000 - $4,500 per season
