Location: Remote
University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) seeks a TeamAssociate I in the Office of Admissions. Reporting to the Associate Director of Admissions, the Team Associateperformsafull range of multi-functionaladministrative/operational duties,assistingwith a full range of applicant and new student services for the purpose of creating a world-classnewstudent service experience and environment for the University of Maryland Global CampusÂ

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:Â
Receives and directs inbound calls from the Admissions Transcript and General Admissions phone queues. Responds to general inquiries requiring research or interpretation of relevant departmental policies and procedures. Warm transfers calls to other departments as appropriate Makes outbound phone calls to leads and applicants to follow up on their requests for information, to follow up on missing transcripts, admissions documents and outstanding documents related to their payment methodsÂ
Accurately documents, maintains, and tracks prospective student interactions, information, and progression through the application and admissions process in the CRM systemÂ
Responds to or forwards email and cases sent to the unassigned Admissions queue and overdue Admissions case queuesÂ
Prepares worksheets, tables, correspondence, and standard reports. Participates in the preparation and review of statistical and other reports for completeness and accuracyÂ
Identifies and resolves administrative process problems impacting productivity and quality. Participates in developing new or revised processesÂ
Completes assigned administrative tasks or functions with other departments to include Admissions Services, Academic Operations and Degree AuditÂ
Evening, weekend and holiday hours will be required based on business needsÂ
Perform other job duties as assigned.Â
 REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Â
High school diploma orGEDand 3 years of clerical work experience in a customer service environmentÂ
Additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilitiesrequired for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experienceÂ
Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills used in both inbound and outbound callsÂ
Proficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteÂ
Experience working independently in a remote environmentÂ
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while displaying a self-motivated,organized and upbeat personality with a desire to encourage others to succeedÂ

An earnedAssociate’s degree froman accredited institution of higher learningÂ

REQUIREMENTS TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR REMOTE ROLE:Â
Home worksite furniture and equipment shall be provided by the CandidateÂ
UMGC will provide necessary office supplies, a laptop,monitor and headsetÂ
Network communication to non-public UMGC online information technology services and data shall be made onlythrough the use of the UMGC Virtual Private Network (VPN) to ensure data is transmitted through encrypted channels and proper authenticationÂ
All computing equipment that is used, whetherpurchased by UMGC or the individual, must be connected to broadband internet through an Ethernet connectionÂ
All computing equipment that is used must be connected to broadband internet with upload and download speeds of at least 25MBPS.  You must also hardwire your laptop to the router through an Ethernet connectionÂ

Contingent II employees who work on average 30 or more hours per week (130 hours per month) are eligible for subsidized state of Maryland medical and prescription benefits. Retirement Stipend:Â Contingent II employees receive a retirement stipend equal to 7.25 percent of their base salary and are eligible to contribute to a supplemental retirement account (SRA).
Supplemental Retirement Plans: include 401(k), 403(b), 457(b), and various Roth options. The university does not provide subsidies or matching funds.
Tuition Remission: CII employees are eligible immediately for Tuition Remission at UMGC or at University of Maryland College Park. Spouses and dependent children are eligible for undergraduate tuition remission after two years of service.NOTE: For part-time employees (at least 50 percent of the time), tuition remission benefits are prorated.
