Senior JavaScript Full-Stack Developer with AWS

We are looking for aSenior JavaScript Full-Stack Developer with AWSexperience to join our team and help build scalable, high-performance production systems. In this role, you will contribute across the stack, shaping both frontend experiences and backend services while collaborating on architectural decisions that support our evolving platform.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and ship production-ready full-stack web applications
• Build accessible, performant user interfaces using TypeScript and modern component frameworks
• Implement and maintain backend services on the JVM or with shared TypeScript platform libraries
• Design and evolve data models across relational and NoSQL databases for product features
• Develop and integrate APIs using gRPC, protobuf, HTTP, and REST
• Deploy and operate applications on AWS using containers and CI/CD pipelines
• Apply caching, queuing, and eventual-consistency strategies to ensure scalability and reliability
• Maintain strong testing discipline across unit, integration, and end-to-end layers
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical direction and platform standards

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional full-stack web engineering experience shipping production systems
• Proficiency in TypeScript and React, including state management, accessible UI patterns, and browser performance optimization
• Backend expertise in Kotlin or Java on the JVM
• Skills in gRPC, protobuf, and HTTP/REST API development
• Competency in DynamoDB and PostgreSQL for product-feature data modeling, with familiarity with Redis
• Understanding of caching, queues, and eventual-consistency trade-offs
• Capability to work effectively with AWS, containers, and CI/CD as a consumer
• Strong testing discipline across unit, integration, and end-to-end layers
• English proficiency at an Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or higher

Nice to have

• Familiarity with a cross-platform mobile framework such as React Native, Kotlin Multiplatform, Flutter, or Capacitor
• Background in authentication and identity systems, including OAuth/OIDC, SSO, and third-party providers
• Experience with authoring tools, CMSes, or internal back-office applications
• Knowledge of OpenTelemetry, structured logging (SigNoz), and design systems with shared component libraries
• Exposure to EdTech / K-12 or other domains with strong privacy and accessibility requirements (FERPA, COPPA, WCAG)
