JavaScript Full-Stack Developer with AWS

We are looking for aJavaScript Full-Stack Developer with AWS experienceto join our team and help build scalable, high-performance production systems. In this role, you will contribute across the stack, working on both frontend experiences and backend services while participating in technical discussions that support our evolving platform.

Responsibilities

• Develop and ship production-ready full-stack web applications
• Build accessible, performant user interfaces using TypeScript and modern component frameworks
• Implement and maintain backend services on the JVM or with shared TypeScript platform libraries
• Work with data models across relational and NoSQL databases for product features
• Develop and integrate APIs using gRPC, protobuf, HTTP, and REST
• Deploy and support applications on AWS using containers and CI/CD pipelines
• Apply caching and queuing strategies to help ensure scalability and reliability
• Maintain solid testing practices across unit, integration, and end-to-end layers
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to follow technical direction and platform standards

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional full-stack web engineering experience contributing to production systems
• Working experience with TypeScript and React, including state management, accessible UI patterns, and basic browser performance optimization
• Backend experience in Kotlin or Java on the JVM
• Skills in gRPC, protobuf, and HTTP/REST API development
• Experience with DynamoDB and PostgreSQL for product-feature data modeling, with familiarity with Redis
• Understanding of caching and queues, with awareness of eventual-consistency trade-offs
• Ability to work effectively with AWS, containers, and CI/CD as a consumer
• Solid testing practices across unit, integration, and end-to-end layers
• Minimum English language level of B1+

Nice to have

• Familiarity with a cross-platform mobile framework such as React Native, Kotlin Multiplatform, Flutter, or Capacitor
• Exposure to authentication and identity systems, including OAuth/OIDC, SSO, and third-party providers
• Experience with authoring tools, CMSes, or internal back-office applications
• Knowledge of OpenTelemetry, structured logging (SigNoz), and design systems with shared component libraries
• Exposure to EdTech / K-12 or other domains with strong privacy and accessibility requirements (FERPA, COPPA, WCAG)
• Familiarity with embedding model versioning and reindex processes
• Experience with pgvector or vector store operations
• Background in gaming domain or QA tooling
