- Oversees 24-hour nursing care for assigned unit in compliance with policies, regulations, and long-term care standards.
- Coordinates care across disciplines to ensure continuity, quality, and resident satisfaction.
- Leads quality assurance initiatives, conducts audits, and implements corrective actions.
- Supervises, trains, and evaluates staff; manages schedules, performance, and staffing needs.
- Maintains accurate medical records, ensures compliance with medication procedures, and participates in care plan meetings, surveys, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Provides clinical support, restorative care oversight, and effective communication with residents, families, and healthcare teams while fostering a positive, professional work environment.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
- CurrentRN orLPN License from the State of Maryland.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in geriatric nursing including two (2) years of experience as a Charge Nurse/Manager in geriatric care with progressive experience in an administrative and supervisory capacity.
- Current CPR required.
- IV certification preferred.
