💷 Pay: £13.45 per hour
🕒 Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off (Nights)
⏰ Hours: 17:00 - 05:00

As aSecurity Officer at a major research and development laboratory and cloud data centre, provide excellent customer service while protecting employees, visitors, property, and assets. ASecurity Officer must uphold the highest standards of integrity, vigilance, and professionalism, ensuring all site procedures and client requirements are met. TheSecurity Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment at all times.

Responsibilities

You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:

Protection of Property & Premises

• Prevent unauthorised access and monitor security systems.
• Patrol internal and external areas as instructed.
• Manage traffic and parking restrictions.
• Conduct security equipment checks.
• Control keys, locking/unlocking, and access passes.
• Maintain logs and records.
• Handle lost property in line with procedures.

Health & Safety

• Support staff, visitors, and contractors while safeguarding the premises.
• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed and report incidents.
• Keep emergency routes clear and equipment accessible.
• Report shortages of first aid supplies.
• Notify the Security Operations Centre (SOC) of emergencies.
• Investigate fire alarm activations.

Requirements

✅ Valid SIA Licence
✅ Flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends
✅ Right to work in the UK with a 5-year checkable work history
✅ Strong written and spoken English communication skills
✅ Previous security experience preferred
✅ Excellent attention to detail
✅ Physically fit and able to complete long patrols
✅ Good report writing and incident reporting skills
