PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
ITS serves all DSS program areas to fulfill their IT needs. To meet the business needs and ITS' workload, ITS is seeking qualified candidates in the areas of Database design, architecture, and development, including base definition, structure, documentation, long-range requirements, operational guidelines, and protection. Ensures accuracy and completeness of data in master files and various support tools, such as base dictionaries. Establishes and maintains security and integrity controls. Formulates and monitors policies, procedures and standards relating to database management. Proposes and implements enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of various systems that ITS supports across DSS program areas.
TASK & DUTIES:
- Performs Sprint Planning and implementation. Leads a multi-disciplinary team in application development and deployment. Provides management reporting and information dissemination
- Lead planning and/or implementation of applications & participate in the design and/or testing phases.
- Assist in the resolution of conflicts within and between projects or functional areas
- Facilitating Scrum events (daily standups, other meetings) as needed.
- Prioritize and organize the user stories into weekly sprints and conduct daily Scrums to track progress
- Serves the development team by: Coaching the development team in self-organization. Helping to remove obstacles to the developers’ progress
- Serves the entire organization by: Encouraging the organization to adopt the Scrum and Agile development methodologies in their workflow. Coaching the organization on the transition to a Scrum working framework. Keeping the organization, particularly the project’s stakeholders, up to date on the progress of the scrum team’s projects.
- Provide weekly status to the PMO and all relevant stakeholders.
- Develop methods to monitor project or area progress; and provide corrective supervision if necessary
- Helping the product owner maintain the product backlog.
- Facilitate the definition of project missions, goals, tasks, and resource requirements.
- Making sure everyone on the team understands the project’s goals and scope.
MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCEÂ
Note: Candidates who do not have the mandatory skills will not be considered
- A minimum of 4 years of experience with the following skill sets:
- Project Management and Agile Development Methodologies
- SCRUM methodology
- Functional Business Analysis
- Planning sprint delivery
