PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
NYCWAY is the "Workfare/Engagement" system which ensures that all adult Cash Assistance clients perform work or training as a condition for continued eligibility. The application was originally copied from another NYS system constructed using a UNISYS MAPPER environment, and has grown substantially over the years, with no project end date.
TASK & DUTIES:
- Develop system design specifications
- Connect with stakeholders and project resources to gather requirements and gap analysis and document system enhancements.
- Perform considerable amounts of BA activities, SCRUM delivery and Agile Development Methodologies with knowledge in Functional Business Analysis and Planning sprint delivery.
- Create management reports as required and requested
- Develop post-implementation documentation on implemented systems
- Work with ITS staff (e.g, managers, senior programmers, support staff, product manager) to plan system implementation, enhancements and changes.
- Review production incidents and help identify impact and resolution strategies.
- Perform Testing/Evaluation
- Develops, implements, and monitors information technology quality assurance standards.
- Work with the developers to troubleshoot reported system problems
- Work with the developers to devise detailed test plans on developed projects
- Tests programs and systems and integrates system modules.
- SME to provide input on legacy system to help propose better system solutions
- Design reports, audit trails/logs, security mechanisms
- Perform System Design and Analysis
- Work with the customer to develop detailed specifications on new requirements
- Develop system documentation
- Develop structured workflows for the specific business goals. Identify integration needs with legacy systems and propose better solutions.
- Develops and prepares documents for the general design of solutions that meet system and security requirements, including the selection of alternative approaches.
MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCEÂ
Note: Candidates who do not have the mandatory skills will not be considered
- A minimum of 4 years of experience with the following skill sets:
- Data structures, data manipulation, databases, design, testing and implementation
- Years of Experience: 4
- Technical and user documentation, software conversion
- Exposure to environments include but are not limited to Mainframe, Midrange, personal computers, laptops
- Lead in the design of program specifications and the implementation of software solutions
- Basic SQL/Oracle
- Both the Front and Backend processing of Web Applications
- Business Analysis and, SCRUM and Agile Development Methodologies and Sprint Delivery
