Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Halo ITSM Platform Developer to help enhance, administer, integrate, and automate the organization's enterprise IT Service Management (ITSM) platform. This hands-on technical role is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting workflows, automation, integrations, service catalogs, asset management functionality, CMDB improvements, reporting, and portal experiences within the Halo ITSM platform.
The ideal candidate will bring strong experience developing and administering ITSM platforms preferably Halo ITSM along with a solid understanding of ITIL principles, IT service management best practices, systems integration, and workflow automation.
Key Responsibilities
ITSM Platform Development
- Design, configure, develop, and support workflows, business rules, forms, scripts, and automation within Halo ITSM.
- Develop and enhance Incident, Request, Problem, Change, Knowledge, Asset, and Service Catalog processes.
- Configure service request workflows, approval processes, and fulfillment automation.
- Create and maintain dashboards, KPIs, reports, and operational metrics.
- Enhance the self-service portal and improve the overall end-user experience.
Automation & Integration
- Design, develop, and maintain integrations between Halo ITSM and enterprise technologies including Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Intune, CyberArk, Zoom Contact Center, Snowflake, HR systems, and ERP platforms.
- Build API-driven integrations and automation solutions that streamline manual processes and improve service delivery.
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, automation failures, synchronization problems, and platform performance concerns.
Asset & Configuration Management
- Assist with the ongoing administration and enhancement of the CMDB and asset management environment.
- Improve asset lifecycle processes while maintaining high-quality asset and configuration data.
- Develop automated discovery, reconciliation, inventory, and asset cleanup processes.
- Help establish governance standards and quality controls for configuration items and asset records.
Process Improvement & Collaboration
- Work closely with Service Desk, Infrastructure & Operations, Security, Enterprise Applications, and business teams to identify opportunities for automation and process improvements.
- Translate business needs into scalable and sustainable ITSM platform solutions.
- Recommend improvements that align with ITIL best practices and enterprise service management standards.
- Participate in platform planning, testing, deployments, upgrades, and production change activities.
Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and support runbooks.
- Provide knowledge transfer and technical guidance to internal IT team members.
- Document workflow designs, integration architecture, data flows, and support processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
- Five or more years of experience developing or administering ITSM platforms.
- Three or more years of experience with workflow automation and enterprise systems integration.
- Strong knowledge of Incident, Request, Change, Problem, Knowledge, Asset, and Configuration Management processes.
- Experience working with REST APIs, web services, JSON, XML, webhooks, and authentication methods such as OAuth.
- Experience with PowerShell or other scripting languages used for automation.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, requirements gathering, and stakeholder communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Halo ITSM Experience
- Two or more years of Halo ITSM administration, configuration, or development experience.
- Experience building Halo workflows, automation rules, service catalogs, escalation rules, and reporting solutions.
- Experience implementing Halo integrations and API-based automation.
- Knowledge of Halo Asset Management and CMDB functionality.
Additional Preferred Experience
- Experience with other ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow, Freshservice, Jira Service Management, or Cherwell.
- ITIL Foundation certification or higher.
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform.
- Experience with SQL reporting, data analysis, Power BI, or Snowflake.
- Enterprise Infrastructure and Operations experience.
