As a CO+I CE Technician Manager, you will perform a key role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform. Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach and develop a team of critical environment technicians, fostering a culture of accountability, operational excellence, safety, and continuous learning.
  • Oversee the operation, monitoring, and reliability of critical infrastructure systems, including electrical, mechanical, cooling, controls, and power generation equipment.
  • Direct maintenance activities across critical facility equipment, ensuring planned, predictive, and corrective work is executed in accordance with established procedures, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the response to operational incidents and critical events, coordinating troubleshooting, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and post-incident reviews to minimize business impact.
  • Act as a technical subject matter expert, providing guidance on equipment diagnostics, system performance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage and oversee vendor and contractor activities, ensuring all work is performed safely, compliantly, and in alignment with operational and quality standards.
  • Drive a strong safety and compliance culture by ensuring adherence to EHS requirements, operating procedures, risk assessments, and security standards while maintaining reliable data center operations.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

    • Relevant mission critical services work/applied learning experience (e.g., high availability assembly/manufacturing/critical infrastructure environments such as data centers, oil and gas refineries, hospitals, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or related fields) OR equivalent experience.
    • Ability to work with the teams covering shifts, including shift assignments during non-standard business hours that may include evening, nighttime, weekends, and/or holidays
    • Experience directing, supervising, or coordinating teams and/or third‑party vendors or contractors.
    • You will be required to travel between sites as part of this role so a valid driver’s license will be required.

    *This role requires you to be on-site and the location has limited public transport. Your own form of transport is advised.

Background Check Requirements: 

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: 

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

While not required, we also look for the followingPreferred Qualifications:

 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent AND mission critical services experience (e.g., high-availability assembly/manufacturing/critical infrastructure environments such as data centers, oil and gas refineries, hospitals, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or related fields)
    • OR Associate's Degree or technical trade certification (e.g., military, trade school), or higher-equivalent education AND mission-critical services experience (e.g., high-availability assembly/manufacturing/critical infrastructure environments such as data centers, oil and gas refineries, hospitals, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or related fields)
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • People management experience.
  • Experience in a specialized area (e.g., mechanical field, electrical field, controls field) or related field.


Critical Environment Ops M3 - The typical base pay range for this role across Finland is € 56,800.00 - € 92,000.00 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
