Introduction to team
Expedia Group B2B connects partners across the travel industry to our leading technology, supply, and services - helping them deliver seamless travel experiences to their customers. From airlines and hotels to financial institutions and other travel platforms, we power smarter, faster, and more impactful travel solutions through the most connected marketplace in the world.
As Vice President, Hotel Market Management APAC, you will lead the hotel supply and commercial performance of Expedia Group’s Asia Pacific super-region. As a member of the global Hotel Market Partnerships leadership team, you will translate global growth priorities into regional execution while owning revenue, margin, inventory competitiveness, and market-share outcomes across APAC.
This is an opportunity to shape a multi-market commercial strategy, transform and develop a geographically dispersed leadership organization, and strengthen Expedia Group’s position with hotel partners through innovative, technology-enabled growth.
In this role, you will
- Own APAC’s revenue, margin, inventory, and market-share performance, setting ambitious growth targets and holding the organization accountable for delivery across hotel acquisition, rate, yield, and supply competitiveness.
- Develop and execute the regional commercial plan, using market, competitor, and performance insights to prioritize the highest-value opportunities across markets, accounts, channels, products, and new routes to market.
- Lead and develop a high-performing organization of Senior Directors, Directors, Area Managers, and Market Managers, aligning talent, headcount, and investment to the region’s greatest commercial opportunities while building succession depth for senior roles.
- Lead or support negotiations for strategic and complex hotel contracts, securing terms that strengthen Expedia Group’s revenue, margin, rate, and inventory position with regional chains and key accounts.
- Partner with global and regional stakeholders—including Field Operations, Marketing, Advertising, Finance, Analytics, Legal, and Air—to accelerate execution, resolve high-stakes commercial risks, and convert business priorities into effective regional programs.
- Lead change and operating improvements across APAC, scaling technology- and AI-enabled ways of working, sharing successful commercial practices, and representing Expedia Group with major hotel partners and industry stakeholders across key markets and events.
Experience and Qualifications
- You bring typically 16+ years of experience, or equivalent, leading commercial or revenue-owning organizations at scale, including 7+ years managing managers against measurable commercial targets, ideally in a marketplace company.
- You have a strong track record of delivering revenue, margin, and market-share growth across APAC in a fast-moving, highly competitive environment, with experience operating in a global matrix organization headquartered outside the region.
- You have demonstrated experience scaling or restructuring geographically dispersed, multicultural commercial organizations, leading change, and developing leaders across markets, locations, and time zones.
- You have personally negotiated high-value, complex commercial contracts and can use market, competitor, and performance data to create clear, numbers-backed growth strategies and forecasts.
- You communicate with clarity and confidence at executive and industry levels, including defending commercial plans, managing trade-offs, and representing an organization at regional and global partner events.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, commerce, economics, or related field; or Equivalent related professional experience. An MBA or advanced degree is preferred. Proficiency in English is required; additional regional languages such as Japanese or Mandarin are an advantage.
