Business Operations Manager

As Business Operations Manager, you are the organizational backbone of our business development and work closely and directly with the CEO. You use AI and modern automation tools to optimize processes and drive strategic initiatives. In doing so, you act as a strategic mover and shaker at the interface between operations, business development, and the creation of offers and grant applications.

Your tasks will include, among others:

Business Development

• Customer meetings for retention and market exploration of new business areas
• CRM maintenance and automation for lead nurturing
• Support for the CEO and strategic projects

Event management and marketing

• Organization of approximately 4-6 industry events per year 
• Event CRM and follow-up automation
• Stakeholder networking

Offers, proposals & funding

• Creating customer offers 
• Co-developing and coordinating R&D applications
• Creating and coordinating pitch decks for customers

Must-haves:

• Degree in business administration, industrial engineering, business informatics, or comparable experience
• 2-4 years of experience (operations, consulting, startup/scale-up)
• Fluency in both German & English (C1+) in both speaking and writing
• Hands-on & structured – you get things done and automate proactively
• Demonstrable experience in our domains, such as tolling, mobility, traffic, or logistics.

Tech stack (must-have):

• AI tools: Daily use of ChatGPT, Claude, or Perplexity
• Automation: Ideally n8n, Zapier, or Make
• Standard: Jira, spreadsheets (including formulas), Notion/Asana, Google Workspace
• Bonus: CRM (HubSpot, Pipedrive), Apps Script, Python basics

Personality:

• Digital native – AI tools are second nature to you
• Organizational skills – you maintain an overview in complex projects
• Strong communication skills – confident in customer contact
• Proactive – you recognize when action is needed and take it
