Altoros - a leading IT services provider is looking for aUnity Support Engineer.
!Part-time position.
Responsibilities:
- Regularly reviewUnity SDK release notes on a monthly basis and:
- Identify and flagbreaking changes that may impact integration with Django
- Assess theimpact of each release on the existing API contract
- Performreactive compatibility patching on the Unity client side when:
- SDK updates introduce incompatibilities
- Integration points with Django backend start failing
- Actively participate inincident diagnostics for issues such as:
- Frozen screens or stale content
- Missing or outdated content updates
- Unity client not receiving configuration from Django
- Clarify root causes
- Propose and implement fixes
- Collaborate with the backend team and external stakeholders to: document known issues and workarounds in runbooks
- Proven experience working withUnity SDK, including understanding of:
Release cycles and versioning strategies
UnityPackage Manager and dependency management
Best practices for upgrading packages without breaking the project - Strong ability toread, analyze, and modify C# code within existing Unity projects:
Not expected to build full applications from scratch
Focus on diagnosis, debugging, and targeted patching - Solid understanding of how aUnity standalone application consumes REST APIs:
HTTP client usage in Unity
JSON serialization/deserialization
Error handling and retry strategies - Experience configuring and buildingUnity standalone targets for:
Windows and/orLinux - Ability toreproduce and diagnose runtime issues locally in Unity:
Using logs, breakpoints, and diagnostic tools
Isolating issues related to networking, configuration, or SDK behavior - Practical knowledge ofUnity plugins and Package Manager:
Updating dependencies safely
Resolving conflicts and version mismatches
English level B2+:
Comfortable reading technical documentation and runbooks
Able to communicate clearly with clients and stakeholders
Nice to have requirements:
- Experience using Unity in the context of: digital signage, Kiosk systems, Interactive displays
(not traditional game development) - Basic understanding ofDjango REST API from the client perspective: how endpoints are structured, common patterns for configuration and content delivery
- Familiarity withGCP Cloud Run at a conceptual level: understanding what it is and how to interact with it
- Experience working withjump PCs / RDP for remote diagnostics: navigating remote environments, collecting logs and reproducing issues on remote machines
Engagement: - Part-time: up to 10 hours/month.
- Duration: 6–12 months, starting August.
- Working window: Mon–Fri, 15:00–00:00 Warsaw time. You are not expected to be present at the monitor although the shift, although be able to handle a task within 4h-1 business day
- Fully paid onboarding 20h August-October 2026
- Location: Poland or westward.
