Altius Search Group is recruiting on behalf of a client, a bank-owned equipment finance company, for a dynamicTeam Leaderwho can build a team of high-performing originators focused onmiddle to large-ticket general equipment finance transactions. This individual will play a critical leadership role in developing and executing a regional sales strategy while managing a team across a multi-state territory.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team ofdirect reports responsible for originating equipment finance transactions.
Source and close transactions through direct solicitation of middle-market companies.
Develop and execute sales strategies to drive growth across the assigned territory.
Provide strategic guidance ondeal structuring, pricing, and documentation negotiations.
Coach, train, and motivate sales originators to achieve individual and team production goals.
Partner with internal stakeholders across credit, operations, and documentation to ensure efficient deal execution.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Ability to bring a team of proven originators with established relationships in theMiddle Market Equipment Finance space.
Demonstrated experience leading a production team with a strong track record of delivering results.
Proven ability tobuild new business, manage existing client relationships, and grow market share.
A hands-on leader with strong knowledge of the industry, focused on team success and client outcomes.
Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:
Deep understanding ofcommercial credit underwriting, including familiarity with bank credit policies and risk parameters.
Strong grasp ofequipment finance structuring, including knowledge oftax and accounting implications as they pertain to leasing.
Excellentinterpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Skilled innetworking and client relationship management within the financial services industry.
Familiarity withbanking regulations, including federal/state compliance and fair lending laws.
Adaptable to afast-paced, evolving environment with a strong teamwork orientation.
Technologically proficient with Microsoft Office and industry-standard finance systems.
Bachelor’s degree inFinance, Business Administration, or Operations Management; MBA preferred.
5–10 years of experience in equipment finance and leasing.
5–10 years of management experience in the equipment finance industry, including expertise leading a production team.
Proven success in closingmiddle to large-ticket transactions.
