We are supporting theoffload of compressor system design and integration activities to a managed service environment and are looking for a highly capableSystems Integration Engineer to join a complex, high-performance programme.
This role sits at the heart ofgas turbine / turbomachinery development, working across integration, validation, and in-service support activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivercompressor system integration activities across multiple parallel workstreams
- Supportproduct system design integration, working closely with cross-functional teams
- Conduct and leadOSOR investigations and root cause analysis (RCI)
- Providecomplex technical validation and verification support
- SupportSAR (Safety Assessment Report) activities, including fleet health and risk tracking
- Managesampling closure and DoRA updates
- Produce clear reporting and updates for Technical Leads
- Contribute to additional subsystem and integration activities as required
Required Skills:
- Experience withTeamcenter (essential)
- Working knowledge ofSiemens NX
- Familiarity withLCE tools, such as:
- OSORs
- FRACAS
- Ability to conductroot cause investigations (e.g. Fishbone, EBRCA)
- Proven experience insystems integration / systems engineering within aerospace or turbomachinery
- Strong understanding ofcompressor systems / cold-end turbomachinery, including:
- Casings & structures
- Stress, vibration, aero & aeromechanics
- Tip clearance, engine loads & interactions
- Experience working across theproduct lifecycle, including design, integration, and validation
- Strong experience invalidation & verification (V&V) and ability to challenge requirements
- Familiarity withAPQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning)
- Systems Engineering capability including:
- DFMEA
- Requirements management processes
- Concept development & selection
- Knowledge ofsafety processes:
- FMECA
- SARs
- RedTop (or similar frameworks)
Required Qualifications:
- ABachelor’s orMaster’s degree inEngineering, or equivalent military experience.
Desirable Skills:
- Ability towork independently with minimal supervision (after initial onboarding)
- Comfortable managingmultiple parallel tasks and shifting priorities
- Strongcommunication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Basic understanding ofengine certification processes and compliance is desirable
