We are seeking an experiencedSenior Electrical Design Engineer to play a key role in delivering advanced electrical systems within a complex engineering programme.

This is a technically challenging position offering the opportunity to take ownership of design activities, influence project direction, and work across a multidisciplinary environment on high-integrity systems.

  • On Site: Full onsite presence 
  • Clearance: Not required
  • Experience Level: Mid - Senior 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of thedesign and development of electrical systems and components for complex engineering projects
  • Produce and reviewelectrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and associated technical documentation using tools such asEPLAN and Teamcenter
  • Ensure designs meetall applicable industry standards, safety regulations, and compliance requirements
  • Overseesystem integration, verification, and validation activities to ensure performance and reliability targets are met
  • Providetechnical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, promoting best practices and engineering excellence
  • Collaborate withcross-functional teams across mechanical, systems, software, and manufacturing disciplines
  • Supportsupplier engagement, including technical reviews, selection processes, and stakeholder collaboration
  • Investigate technical issues throughroot cause analysis, implementing effective corrective solutions
  • Contribute toproject planning, scheduling, cost estimation, and risk management

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience in asenior electrical engineering or design role within complex or regulated industries
  • Strong knowledge ofelectrical design tools such asEPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, or similar, and familiarity withPLM systems such as Teamcenter
  • Experience designingpower distribution systems, control systems, and embedded electrical systems
  • Solid understanding of relevant engineering standards (e.g.IEC, BS, IEEE)
  • Ability tolead technical reviews and make critical engineering decisions
  • Strong analytical andproblem-solving skills, with experience identifying and resolving design issues
  • Excellentcommunication and stakeholder engagement skills

Required Qualifications:

  • ABachelor’s orMaster’s degree inEngineering, or equivalent military experience.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience withindefence, maritime, aerospace, or other safety-critical environments
  • Background insystem integration within multidisciplinary engineering teams
  • Exposure tofull product lifecycle development, from concept through to delivery
