What will you be doing? 

ALTEN UK is looking forPiping Design Engineers to join ahigh-impact programme in theNuclear energy sector based in Bridgwater. You’ll play a key role in thedesign and optimisation of complexpiping systems withinpower generation andindustrial energy infrastructure. What will you be doing? 

As a Piping Design Engineer, you will join Warrington team to support our activities within the Energy sector. 

Your main responsibilities will be: 

  • Develop and optimise piping layouts to ensuresafe and efficient fluid and gas transport within energy facilities such aspower plants orrefineries.
  • Ensure piping systems comply with all relevantindustry codes andsafety standards.
  • Conducttechnical risk assessments, identifyingpotential hazards and implementingeffective design solutions.
  • Collaborate withmultidisciplinary engineering teams to ensureintegrated, compliant, andconstructible designs.
  • Preparedetailed design documentation, includingspecifications, calculations, andreports to supportproject delivery phases.
  • Use industry-standard3D modelling tools such asPDMS orE3D to produce accurate piping system models and layouts.

Who are we looking for? 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Ability to analyse and optimize piping layouts for efficiency and safety/

Required Skills:

  • Experience as aPiping  Engineer within theenergy sector  or nuclear experience (e.g.power plants,refineries, or similar facilities).
  • Experience on site in a construction envionment
  • CCNSG Safety Passport 
  •   Experienced in delivering and operating at Engineer or Senior Engineer level 
  • Experienced in Navisworks model, ability to use excel proficiently.
  • Proficient in3D piping design tools such asPDMS orE3D.
  • Strong understanding ofpiping codes,safety regulations, andindustrial design standards.
  • Ability to interpretengineering drawings,technical specifications, andflow diagrams.
  • Excellentproblem-solving andanalytical skills with akeen eye for detail.

Required Qualifications:

  • ABachelor’s orMaster’s degree inEngineering, or equivalent military experience.
